GREYHOUND Tipster Rankings
I’ll be honest, greyhound racing isn’t my thing. I have a few good memories from 25 years ago of visiting the dogs. A group of us from the book warehouse back in the day took a trip to Great Yarmouth Dogs. Stan, one of my favourite people ever, made the night. Some of his tips were gold dust.
“Who you betting on Stan?” I inquired, as he studied the form guide.
“Trap 5, he’s a lock, look at his results, 5-6-5-6-6, he’s due a win” Stan replied with great confidence. 🤦♂️
Number 5 didn’t win! A few races later Stan came dashing over, even more confidence of the right outcome. “All in Trap 4, he’s just had a massive shit during the parade, he’s going to be much lighter than the rest” Stan bellowed 😂
It seemed like as good as strategy as any other. Trap 4 didn’t win either.
Luckily for you, Stan isn’t one of the tipster on this site, or do any of them use his methods.
This page is dedicated to greyhound tipsters who have much better knowledge than Stan and can actually help you beat the bookmakers.
I’m slowly growing this page and adding new greyhound tipsters all the time. You can view some key stats for each of these services and read reviews from real punters. The idea is to help you find the best tipsters online.
I have given each greyhound tipster a rating based on the attributes below.
Profitability
The most important thing when choosing any betting tipster is how profitable they are. Any good tipster will track their profit and loss, keeping a record of their Return on Investment (ROI) and stakes. If you find a tipster that isn’t offering easy access to their results sheet then you ask the question why?
I’ve done my best to work out the profitability of all the tipsters listed on this website but without access to some of their stats it’s not always 100% accurate, so bear that in mind. A tipsters profitability makes up 40% of their overall rating.
Punter Reviews
One of the best things about Betting Kingdom as a tipster comparison website is that you can leave reviews for any tipsters that you have followed. These reviews will help other punters decide which are the best services for them to follow.
I will always verify reviews to the best of my ability. We all know the gambling industry is shady at the best of times, so having reviews from real punters can be game changing when it comes to trusting which tipsters to follow.
Odds Availability
A real issue in the industry these days as bookmakers are quicker to slash odds and limit accounts when you win a few pounds. A tipster with a 20% ROI is useless if the odds of their tips are slashed within seconds of sharing that tip with their followers.
It can be quite a hard thing to monitor as I haven’t followed all these tipsters myself, partly now because a lot of my betting accounts are closed due to the success I had in the past. But it can be quite easy sometimes to determine which tipsters prices will drop quickly, by the events, markets and bookmakers they use for their tips.
Longevity
You often find a tipster promoting a massive ROI only to find out they’ve been tipping for just 2 months and their sample size of bets is under 200. So always take into account the age of a tipster. The more experience they have and the longer they’ve been in the game, the more likely they are to bank you a long term profit.
Affordability
The price of greyhound tipsters can differ drastically. From free tipsters, to services who often charge over £50 per month. As a punter, any monthly sign up fee is going to take a fairly decent chunk out of your ROI, so it’s important to take that into account when joining a service.
Previews
Some tipsters are great at offering reasoning and insight behind their selections. It’s something that as a punter myself I put quite a bit of importance in. It will showcase whether the tipster actually knows about the dog they are tipping, if they can provide reason behind their tips. Plus I want to know why I’m investing my money on a selection and I don’t want that reason to be that they just had a massive shit during the parade.
I appreciate that even some of the best greyhound tipsters won’t offer previews, as profitability is more important and that’s reflected in the way I do the rankings. Previews make up just 5% of the total rating, whilst profitability is 40%. So whilst I like reading insight I am aware it’s not that important for most punters.
If there are any greyhound tipsters that you know about that are not currently listed on the site then please get in touch.
