Bookies Continue to Blitz Golf Tipsters

  • January 22, 2024

After two big priced winners to kick start the 2024 PGA Tour season you would have hoped it was time for the tipsters to be celebrating this weekend. Not a chance.

Nick Dunlap became the first amateur to win a PGA Tour event since 1991. I mean seriously? What next?

Not a single tipster on the Golf Tips Checker radar selection the 20 year old pre tournament and why would they in truth. What made it even more frustrating were the names he beat. Thomas, Schauffele, Burns and Hadwin the most popular.

Tipsters might lead you to think they were happy with Each Way returns on those players, trust me they weren’t, they just love promoting winners.

You could argue the same case about Rory Mcilroy with a handful of tipsters tweeting his success at odds ranging between 10-3 and 7-2. The problem being very few of those tipsters made Rory their sole selection and with that the profit overall is minimal.

Deep Dive Golf made a very good point relating to this on his X feed and it’s something to bear in mind. You’ll see it a lot on social media platforms with tipsters promoting winners, but not actually mentioning the profit & loss. Just be careful.

Decided to wade into controversy today 🫣🤣

I thought I would go and have a look at the cards of those who supposedly tipped Rory McIlroy this week at the #DubaiDesertClassic. In all honesty, I wasn't surprised by what I found.

If you’ve struggled with your golf bets over the past few weeks then try to keep the faith. 3 weeks is a very short time in betting and a run like this is very unlikely. It’s important to stick with your strategy and trust the tipsters you’ve been following.

The bookmakers might be laughing now but come the end of the season it’s normally the tipsters that have the upper hand when it comes to golf betting.
