When Betting Kingdom was in it’s heyday I think we had 4-5 really profitable golf tipsters. We were cleaning up. Remember Stan James. Looking back know they were a bunch of clowns and the odds they used to offer us were ridiculous. It was easy. Times have changed.
I think that’s evident with the profit margins of golf tipsters this year. The list seems to be thinning out with only the real top tipsters still finding an edge over the bookmakers, as they start to invest more time into getting their prices right.
Enough chit chat. You want the numbers right? All these stats come straight from the tipsters themselves. Some of them track their own profit and loss, so we are putting complete faith in their honesty to provide us with reliable stats. Certain tipsters have been tracked properly and I will specify those.
There is also a lot of golf tipsters out there who either don’t track their results, or for whatever reason, choose to make it extremely difficult for us punters to find their statistics. So if you know anyone glaringly obvious, missing from this list, please drop me a DM.
I’m going to go about this in a roundabout way, starting with the most well known tipsters, rather than the most profitable.
“On the tee, representing SportingLife, Betting Kingdom’s top ranked golf tipster……..BEN COLEY“. Cue the round of the applause from the respectful gallery.
Everyone knows Ben. He’s been superb over the past 4-5 years, even longer perhaps, so what of 2025? A profit of +136.2.pts. Decent? But not up to his normal standards, in fact it was his least profitable year since 2019.
I have to mention in the last 6 seasons, Ben has now delivered a combined profit of +2,344.53pts. His tips come with in depth reviews, beautiful written and always worth a read. The downside being his popularity and the speed at which prices disappear, but no tipster can control the markets.
If you were to put Ben in a final round tipster 2 ball, what better playing partner than Steve Palmer, from the Racing Post. Hugely entertaining on his Sweet Spot Podcast, he had a superb start to the year if memory serves me correct, but finished with +148.7pts of profit and a 10.8% ROI (I’ve not been able to find Coley’s ROI, I would guess it would be similar to this).
Racing Post have chosen to charge for Steve’s tips on their platform although if you wait for the podcast to be released you can get free access. Always worth a listening.
Dave Tindall is one of the most experienced golf tipsters in the industry and does a lot of freelance work. The best place to follow Dave is on the Betfair Blog. They track his PGA Tour tips, but not his First Round Leader selections and the last time I saw he had a profit of around +115pts, but I can’t be entirely sure that is accurate.
It’s worth noting the results are based on flat stakes and using prices only available at Betfair. So if Dave had the freedom to vary his stakes and take the top price, like Coley and Palmer do, I think he may well have trumped both in 2025. Something worth considering for next year perhaps, when searching for which tipster you put your trust in.
I can’t wait any longer without mentioning Michael Golf. Another superb year. Profit of +1783.56 and a ROI in excess of 30%. Michael does tip on all tours and that can makes odds availability an issue, but his most profitable tour was the PGA in the US, accounting for +357pts last year.
2025 record updated. Total Profit of 1783.56pts with an ROI of 30.55%
1305pts of that profit came from Feb-May, best run I've ever had by a mile!
The PGA Tour was the best individual tour with 357pts profit.
2023-2025 profit now sits at 5781.06pts with an ROI of 31.86%

For the first time has starting charging a free for his selections which are available via Patreon for £15.99 per month.
If you’ve not come across the wonderful Golf Tips Checker over on X, then where have you been? They compile “Most Tipped Charts” each week but have started to deliver some excellent results themselves. 2025 was no different with +223.81pts of profit, with a superb 40.2% ROI, the 3rd best on my list.
Who can beat that ROI you ask? Well there are two tipsters. PGA Profit, who returned 574.4pts of profit with a 80.7% ROI, yikes and Weekly Golf Value, who themselves netted 411.5pts of profit and a 46.5% ROI. Both of those tipsters are tracked and proofed by the excellent Smart Betting Club.
The downside to these services are the cost to join. £58 a month for PGA Profit and only slightly cheaper for Weekly Golf Value, but that’s if you’re a SBC Member and sign up for 12 months (so over £600 a total). Takes a brave punter to be investing that kind of money at the start of a year. Credit where credit is due though, both tipsters had a fantastic year.
Continuing his longevity and consistency in the golf tipster world was Craig Edwards. I’ve adjusted his profit to make a fairer comparison with those who recommend much higher stakes and that that gives Craig a yearly profit of +388.21pts and a 25.01% ROI. Definitely one of the good guys in this industry.
If you’re looking for a reliable free tipster on the PGA Tour whose tips might not be heavily backed, the moment they are posted, then give Sundog Monkey a try. He had a very good season, albeit his stats come from the 2024/25 PGA Tour calendar, returning a profit of +275.42pts.
I feel like I might be struggling to keep your attention right now as the article gets longer and longer so I’ll reel off some more profitable tipsters from the year without going into much depth. Form Golfer are showing +264.9pts with a 36% ROI, possibly deserving more of a mention.
Ginger Joe who seems very confident in his abilities and has a large following, now also tipping for Oddschecker made somewhere in the region of 200pts profit (results are vague). Deep Dive Golf is probably a tad disappointed with his 4.5% ROI with a +130.87pts profit. He’ll be back stronget.
Mark Ledsham who tips for free made +116.01 and a 7% ROI. Golf Insider, the third tipster from the SBC stable produced +26.6pts of profit, with a healthly 16.4% ROI.
Golf Forecast who I’m quite surprised are still going netted just 18.6pts of profit.
Then we are onto those who were probably hoping I wasn’t going to mention them in this post. SteeGolf -9.38pts, Jamie Worsley -20.05, Paul Williams -31.4pts, Danny Flavin -33.3pts, Golf Betting Club -85.02pts, Steve Rawlings (respect that he keeps tipping in truth) -201.2pts and Bradley Todd, often top of the pile in recent years, had a tough spell, finishing -931.34pts and a -15.38% ROI.
Thank you for reading. If any of the stats don’t line up, let me know and I will update the article.
