Let me clear up the confusion first, because it trips everyone up. At The Races is the company and the website. Sky Sports Racing is the TV channel they run. The channel was called At The Races until January 2019, got renamed, and the website never did, so both names are still floating about. If you are looking for the channel it is Sky 415. If you are looking for the free form site, you are in the right place.
And the free form site is the bit worth your time, because it costs nothing and plenty of punters have no idea how much is on it.
You get racecards with form, tips, breeding and stats, odds from a spread of bookmakers, going and weather, and course guides. The two features I would actually open it for are Market Movers, which shows you which horses are being backed and which are drifting, and Best Odds, which saves you clicking through six bookmakers to find the top price. Market movement is information. A horse shortening from 8/1 to 9/2 means somebody knows something, or thinks they do, and that is worth knowing before you have your money on.
There is a Horse Tracker too, so you can follow horses you fancy and get told when they run, which is the sort of thing people pay for elsewhere.
Worth being clear about why it is free. The site is wrapped in bookmaker promotions and free bet offers, and that is what pays for it. The form and the data are perfectly good, just do not mistake the surrounding advertising for recommendations.
If you are not paying for Timeform or Geegeez, start here. It will cover most of what a casual punter needs without costing a penny.
