StatsHub is a football betting website built for punters. It displays some really useful statistics to help you build your bets and find value in the markets.
There are loads of player and team stats available and it’s currently Free to use whilst still in the Beta phase. It appears they are adding new functionality all the time so it’s an exciting opportunity to start profiting from an excellent website without paying any subscription fees.
They use their own statistics to provide some free tips on their X platform. This has been built by tipsters who understand just how useful this can be for finding value, especially in the prop markets.
I guess the best way to explain how a site like this can benefit you, is to give an example. So I gave the site a visit and used the Prop Screener option.
Here you can use a number of filters to find value bets. It’s International weekend coming up so I selected League One, just as an example. I chose Shots on Target as the market I wanted to search.
I filtered the odds to select a range I like to bet on, between 2.0 – 4.0.
Statshub then provided me with a list of players. Alongside those players were the line (eg Over 0.5), the current odds and the bookmaker offering this price, the implied probability and the recent form.
So how do we then use this information to determine which players we should back? Well it’s very simple. The Implied Probability stat turns the odds into a percentage. It tells you how likely the bookmakers odds believe that outcome will occur.
At the top of my search list was Sam Nombe who plays for Rotherham. The odds of 1.75 for him to have Over 0.5 Shots on Target suggest there is a 57% chance of that happening.
What StatsHub then do is provide recent statistics for that player. So across his last 5 matches Sam Nombe has had Over 0.5 Shots on Target in 80% of his matches. In his last 10 games that drops to 70%, and his last 15 matches in drops a touch further to 67%. But all of those numbers are greater than the implied probability that the bookmakers odds are suggesting.
So this is an instance where you might feel confident you’ve got value in the odds and it’s worth placing a bet. It a nutshell that is how a website like this will work.
I’ve not spent a great deal of time exploring the other options but there are so many markets and leagues you can choose from. If you like Bet Builders as well, it’s another very good tool to create your bets.
I know quite a few tipsters are already using this to great effect. Will bookmakers start to use these websites too? Probably. And I think from hearsay, that recently bet365 really tightened their odds when it comes to player props.
So whilst websites like this are brilliant for us punters at the moment, could long term they spell the end of value in the prop markets? I hope that’s not the case.
If you have used StatsHub to find value bets, then please leave a review below. It would be gratefully appreciated if you can help other punters make wise choices when it comes to which websites and tipsters to follow. Thank you.
