OLBG, short for Online Betting Guide, is exactly that, an online betting guide. Although over the best part of the last 20 years, having been established way back in 2002 (one year old than Betting Kingdom) it’s been best know for it’s Tipster Competition.
Anyone can sign up and be a tipster. You can choose to leave tips with or without comments. At the time of adding this profile OLBG hand out over 800 individual tipster prizes per month and around £600 in cash to the winners.
Over the past 20+ years, they’ve paid out over a million pound in prizes. That’s a lot and a great way to give back to their loyal users.
There was a time when they sponsored the Mares Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival, that’s a pretty big deal for an affiliate website.
It’s a great website if you want to partake in the competitions, if you’re looking for quality tips to follow and bet on, you’re probably not going to find them here.
I’ve never followed a single OLBG tipster myself, and never use the site to find tips that I want to bet on and I’ve been a gambler for nearly 30 years now.
There are other aspects to the OLBG site. They have in depth information on all the leading betting sites, including bookmakers, casinos and bingo.
They have details of all the leading offers and free bets. Again this covers sportsbooks, casino sites and bingo bonuses. You’ll find a lot of promotions listed on OLBG, if that’s what you are looking for.
They also have a Betting News section with daily articles but I’m not sure how useful that is to punters these days. We wants tips, winning tips, from quality tipsters, and whilst OLBG is a fantastic website, I’m not sure it’s where you will head first if profit is your primary goal.
