Well this is going rather well. +10.5pts profit last week. Although I couldn’t help but wonder should I have backed Fox Each Way. I’ll take the win and move on.

So the same logic applies for this weeks US Open. I’ve made a shortlist of the best free golf betting tipsters and compiled their picks for Oakmont. For the best of the bunch I’ve weighted their selections slightly heavier than the others.
Two golfers come out on top! Harris English and Sepp Straka. That’s music to my ears as I’ve money following both in recent weeks.
Let’s start with Harris. 2nd in the US PGA, a week I only backed one of Ben Coley’s tips, that was it, 150/1 EW. Thank you very much sir!

It followed on from a T12 at Augusta, so English is producing his best golf in the biggest events. T12 was also his finishing position at Muirfield Village a couple of weeks ago.
His US Open record is excellent. 9 starts and he’s never missed a cut. He seems to enjoy the unique challenge a US Open presents and this week it could be brutal.
English finished 4th at Winged Foot in 2020 despite a 72 hole total of 283 (+3). A year later he produced an excellent final round of 68 around the South Course at Torrey Pines to finish 3rd.
He made a fast start at the Los Angeles Country Club in 2023 with rounds of 67-66 and was 5th place through 36 and 54 holes, eventually slipping to 8th. So it’s clear English has the right game and mentality for a US Open challenge.
So who’s backing English this week? Con X Golf, Dave Tindall, Jamie Worsley, Steve Palmer, Joe Champion, Matt Cooper, Sam Eaton, Tom Jacobs and My Golf Tips. The list is long, making English an absolute must bet in my book.
Next up, at slightly shorter odds, Sepp Straka. His US Open record doesn’t get close to English and he’s flopped in both Major’s so far this season, but his recent form is excellent.
15 events in 2025, two wins and 9 Top 15 finishes. His 3 most recent starts read 3 (The Memorial), MC (US PGA) and 1st (Truist Championship).
His long game has been excellent ranking 3rd in Strokes Gained Approach and 4th in Strokes Gained Tee to Green. With that juicy rough avoidable at all costs, Straka’s reliable long game could easily see him place.
