Paddy Power are clearly an excellent bookmaker, when it comes to promotions and the markets they offer. But what’s the point if they won’t take your bet or let you win?
And that’s the experience I’ve had as a punter. I had several good years, winning a few quid here and there, rarely betting more than £10 on any one wager.
But that was clearly too much for this multi million pound company. They just didn’t want to know. They didn’t close my account, but instead just limit my stakes depending what I want to bet on.
Price boosts? No thank you.
Golf? 10p each way if I’m lucky.
Player Props on the Premier League? £1 perhaps.
Horse Racing? Might even get a fiver on.
Casino? Fill ya boots mate.
I’ll tell you what, don’t bother. And that’s been my attitude for the past few years. The funny thing is, over the last two years apart from bet365, most bookmakers have done alright from me. So Paddy Power could of have actually lost themselves a few quid. But unlike the real bookmakers from back in the day, Paddy Power are not interested in taking risks.
And there you have it. Big bold and bright, but no fucking good to me.
