Sometimes the most beautiful things in life are the most simplistic. And I think has always applied to Bet Shoot. I’ve always been a massive fan of this website, to the point I used it as my inspiration to redesign Betting Kingdom 15 years ago.
That brought great success to Betting Kingdom, and it was clearly an approach which worked for punters, until Social Media took over. So I can only assume Bet Shoot have experienced the same issues I did.
Tipsters no longer needed competition sites to share their expertise and even with prizes up for grabs they were more than happy to post their selections on platforms like Twitter and facebook.
That led to a drop in the quality of tips and ultimately a fall in visitors. Bookmaker deals were lost, income disappeared and with it, no funds to pay tipsters. Hence why Betting Kingdom has since evolved and I no longer offer tips.
But fair play to Bet Shoot, they’ve stuck to their approach and kept the site simple. It seems they may only have one bookmaker deal left, which restricts the opportunity of tipsters to find value in the markets and therefore make a profit.
They’ve also started charging for their selections and with only one tipster with a ROI of over 5%, that’s a pretty tough sell.
In truth, even though Bet Shoot has been around since 2004, rarely has it been my chosen destination for free betting tips. I think you’ll find better tipsters elsewhere.
That said the recent addition of new features to the website, does keep Bet Shoot as one of the best sites out there and I wish them every success in the future in what has become a tough industry to succeed in.
