Grant Heaney is a free online darts betting tipster who shares free predictions on all the major tournaments at Andy’s Bet Club.
Andy Robson? Have you heard of him? The super affiliate. He’s done pretty well for himself to be fair and now runs his own tipping website called Andy’s Bet Club.
He pays tipsters, or content providers (whichever you prefer) to post free tips on his website. Brilliant right? Yes and no.
Obviously as punters free betting tips from knowledgeable authors is a good thing. Following their advice is certainly a better approach that just padding your bet slip with selections to boost the odds of your accumulator.
These tips come with insight and stats as to why each selection should be backed. So you’re definitely going to improve your chances against the bookmakers if you follow the advice of Grant Heaney.
That said, improving your chances and making a profit are two different things entirely. So if you are purely driven by profit, rather than betting for fun, then tipsters like Grant might not be for you.
Grant, like all the other free tipsters working for these type of websites, is most likely (99% sure) paid for each article he produces. I was in fact once offered a job for a similar site and quoted £10 per article I provided. I politely declined.
So the goal for Grant has to be simple, how many articles can I post a day? He’s not going to be interested in spending hours researching the stats for 1 tip, it’s just not in his interest.
He’s posted over 250 articles for Andy’s Bet Club (ABC), but also over 2,500 for Mr.Fix It Tips (MFT), under the name SlipsTips. I’m not really sure why Grant is tipping under his real name at ABC, and under a made up name with MFT. Pardon the acronyms but I want to post as many profiles today as I can, who cares about quality?
This approach is likely to lead to below average tips as the content providers focus on quantity over quality. So whilst you’ll likely to do better following these sorts of tipsters than betting on a hunch, the likelihood you will return a long term profit is quite low.
And ultimately that is the reason you won’t see sites like ABC or MFT promoting the profit and loss of tipsters like Grant or Slips Tips (same person), because they are almost certainly not profitable.
So that’s something to bear in mind. If you want to have a wager on the darts that evening and need some help picking a winner, by all means pop yourself over to ABC and check out who Grant is backing.
But if you want to become a long term profitable darts punter then you would be better off following tipsters like Raffo Tips or Anon Darts Tips. They are purely interested in profit for their subscribers, not producing content for their employers.
