Punters Diary Day 4 – Trust the Process

  • May 18, 2023

Thursday’s are my day off (he says at 20 past 7 writing a blog post 🙈). Normally on Thursdays, and Sundays, I won’t add a diary entry. We all need a break right?

But given the events of yesterday I’ve woken up early to quickly share my thoughts. Those thoughts being “You absolute fucking beauty“!

A couple of days ago I wrote about the important of trusting the process. Keeping faith in tipsters and who you are following. This was in evidence yesterday.

After a weekend where I lost 40pts (all of my profit) I was questioning how this would turn around. It didn’t take long. +22.9pts of profit in one day!

I’m guessing you’re intrigued where that came from. Well Tom Collins, who so far has been insanely good, landing winners at 10/1 and 12/1 (my odds) yesterday. I’m still only staking 0.5pts per bet, but that made up a large chunk of my profit.

ProPunter who I just started following again was also on Kihavah at 10/1, so that one tip netted me +10pts profit. It just highlights how quickly things can change.

My only snippet of advice today, which I’ll go into in more depth in another article, is don’t criticize tipsters publicly. It makes you look like an ungrateful prick.

I’ve been that ungrateful prick in the past and I apologise. I’ve also been the tipster on the other end of the criticism and it’s just grinds you down. One comment could see a profitable tipster pack his bags and quit, then all their followers lose out.

If you do have some feedback, send them a direct message, they may appreciate the advice, but don’t try and be a smartarse in front of everyone.

As Thursdays are my day off, I’d just like to request that all the tipsters I follow don’t post any winning tips today. I think that’s a fair request? Have a great day and thanks for reading.
