How have I never come across this website before? It’s brilliant. A comprehensive guide to UK greyhound stats, and it’s free. This is a gem.
They claim to be the widest range of data and stats for UK greyhound races and I have to agree having done a quick search on the site.
It’s broken down into 4 main stats sections. Trainers, Greyhounds, Tracks and Favourites.
Let’s start with Trainers. The stats can be arranged via each table, much like a basic spreadsheet. I should add at this juncture, this is a very simple website. It’s probably had very few updates, but for me that adds to the charm in an age where apps dominate the market. But this does the job perfectly.
So I did a quick search and wanted to find the trainers with the best strike rate this year. I narrowed down the search by filtering it to trainers with a minimum of 10 runners.
What that told me is that S P White has raced 30 dogs this year and had 14 winners, returning a profit of +5.85pts.
I then filtered the table to see which trainer had produced the most profit. That is G S Hamilton. 55 runners, 11 winners, average odds of over 10/1 and a profit of +30.75pts. How good are these stats?
Next I delved into the Greyhound Stats section. Here you have Top 50 lists and top 50 for each track. You can also view greyhounds by their current winning sequence which caught my eye.
Pandy Chris topped that chart with 7 wins a in a row. He’s had 35 runs this year, 14 of which are winners. You can click on any greyhound to view their list of results for the season. This will include distance, the odds and the time ran.
So I was able to see that Pandy Chris has started his last 7 race wins at odds of 10/3, 9/2, 4/6, 6/4, 7/4, 4/1 and 9/4. Someone must have won a lot of money backing him in recent weeks.
Track stats allows you to view what trap is the best in terms of win percentage. So one quick glance tells us that in 2025, Trap 1 at Towcester is the best, with a 23.3% win rate. Whether there’s anything in that, it’s unlikely but it’s a still a good statistic to have at your disposal.
Finally there is the favourite section. This tells you how many favourites win at each track and also each trap. So this season Trap 2 at Dunstall Park has been the best for favourites with 50% of winners. 94 favourites have run in Trap 2 at Dunstall Park and 47 of them won.
Sadly that doesn’t tell us if that would have proved profitable or not as I guess it would all depend on the odds of the favourites, but again an interesting stat to consider.
In summary this is a fantastic resource for anyone looking to bet on greyhound racing and I’m surprised in this industry polluted with greed, it’s still free to use. Respect to whoever the owner is. Keep doing a great job.
