First.com is a guide to sports betting and online casinos. The UK’s best according to their X bio, but then they would say that.
This is a site affiliated to the bookmakers and casinos. They make money when you sign up using their links and lose. But that’s not to say the content they provide isn’t worth following.
There is some really useful guides to the best betting sites. So if you want to find out more information about a bookmaker or a casino, then you’ll likely to find that at a site like First.Com.
Whether the information provided is completely impartial, like you’ll receive at a site like Betting Kingdom, is another matter. That’s because they rely on you signing up, so it’s unlikely they are going to tell you a bookmaker is shit, as that would put you off. So just bear that in mind when reading their reviews.
There’s loads of good information about free bets and bonuses too. So if that is something you are looking to take advantage of, when opening new accounts, you can find all the important terms and conditions at First.
The one thing that makes First unique from so many of these affiliate sites is their betting tips section. Lots of betting websites have gone down this route in order to attract punters to their platform.
They pay tipsters to provide articles and offer free betting tips for the major sports. A quick glance at the latest tips at First show selections on football, horse racing, boxing, golf, snooker, darts and F1.
A few of the tipsters they are using including Bryan Nicholson, a golf tipster that has been around for longer than me it seems. Ed Quigley is providing some racing tips and Alex Harris and Sam Maguire are two of the websites football tipsters.
Whilst it’s great to have these free betting tips that are exclusive to the site, often these tipsters, or content providers as they sometimes call themselves, are paid for exactly that, content.
First.com are not too worried if the betting tips they post are profitable or not. So long as the tips draw in customers to their website who then will hopefully delve a little deeper and maybe even open a new bookmaker account, or even better a casino account.
What this leads to is tips that are not always as profitable as other platforms. I couldn’t find any information about their tipsters profit and loss, which isn’t unusual for a betting guide like this.
Perhaps I’m being a little harsh on First.Com. Their model follows the same pattern that proved so successful for Betting Kingdom down the years, albeit I would always display the profit and loss of the tipsters on here.
Free tips with insight, and quality previews at that, are not always that easy to come by in this day and age. So my advice would be to add First.Com to your bookmakers, perhaps have a read of some of the tips and hand pick your favourites.
There are always going to be better websites like SportingLife who can pay their tipsters more, but that’s not to say you won’t find some value betting tips here at First.Com.
