There are two ways to use Proform Racing. At least from my understanding.
The first way is to let Proform do the thinking. Their ratings, model prices, pace maps, draw analysis and trip predictor are all worked out for you. You open a racecard, look at their numbers, compare them to what the bookmakers are offering and bet when the two disagree. No building required, and this is how most subscribers use it.
The second way is the System Builder, which is the part that confuses people. You write the rules yourself. Say three year old handicaps over seven furlongs, horses dropping in trip, a particular trainer. The software then shows you how that exact combination has performed every single time it has come up since 1997, priced at what Betfair actually paid rather than made up odds. If the numbers look good you save it, and from then on it emails you every morning with today’s runners that qualify.
What it will not do is give you a ready made list of profitable tips, and that is the point rather than a failing. Anything sent to thousands of subscribers gets backed, the price collapses and the edge is gone before you have your money on. These tools stay useful precisely because everybody builds something slightly different with them.
One warning if you do start building. Give anyone twenty nine years of data and a filter, and they will find a system that made a fortune in the past. Insist on at least a hundred qualifiers, ideally three hundred, and always test it on years you did not use to find it.
Start on the free tier, then Basic at a tenner, and only go near the ninety seven fifty if you are genuinely putting the hours in.
