Two trading tools in a row now and I am starting to feel like a vegetarian reviewing steakhouses. I back things and hope. These people back things and then sell them back ten seconds later for a quid. Different game entirely.
What I can tell you is that Geeks Toy is the one experienced traders keep recommending when somebody balks at the price of the alternatives. It does one thing extremely well, which is get your money on and off a ladder faster than you can second guess yourself. It is also absurdly light. The thing runs happily on a laptop you were about to take to the tip.
The trade off is that it is bare bones. No Excel integration and the automation is nowhere near what Bet Angel offers, so if you want to set rules and wander off, this is not your tool. If you want to sit and trade yourself, several people reckon it is quicker than anything else out there.
It is Windows only, which rules out a chunk of you straight away, and there is a training mode so you can learn without donating to the cause.
Two things I will grumble about. The prices are hidden behind a login, which is a daft way to sell software and means every figure you read online is somebody’s guess including mine. And if you fancy the Matchbook version, it is free, but Matchbook liquidity is a fraction of Betfair’s so you may find nobody home.
Used it? Is it really the fastest? Leave a review below and settle the argument.
