London Bet is one of the newest bookmakers on the scene having launched in June 2025. So what do we know about this sportsbook?
Well they are owned by the company Thistle Bet Limited which is based in Cardiff. It’s suggested they had a previous site called Thistle Bet, not a bookmaker I ever came across in truth, but you have to question what happened to that website?
The layout of London Bet may look familiar as they have teamed up with Playbook Gaming, who supply the software and the odds. It really is that easy these days to set up a bookmaker.
London Bet obviously have to take the risk involved, but there is very little work on their part in devising odds or markets, that is all done for them by their provider.
So if you don’t already have an account with a bookmaker like Star Sports, who also use the Playbook Gaming software then I would recommend you bet with them instead. They are a more established firm with a better reputation.
London Bet don’t appear to have many promotions currently on offer and at the time of publishing this profile, their wasn’t a sign up bonus either.
So I’m not really sure what is unique, other than the branded logos and colour of the website. From reading a few reviews the customer service doesn’t appear to be particularly great and the early feedback on Trust Pilot is poor, although that seems the way with all bookmakers these days.
There’s lots of Safer Gambling jargon on the website, which is protocol these days, especially for any firm that is licensed with the UK Gambling Commission, which London Bet are to be fair.
If you do decide you want to give London Bet a go, then the best banking method would appear to be Debit Card with a minimum deposit of just £1.
As well as offering odds on major sports like football and horse racing, they also have their own casino, I say “own”, again replicated by their software providers, so unlikely to be anything unique here.
These companies can be pretty low key and until they establish themselves in the market, my advice would be bet elsewhere. There’s enough options available to us punters that we can pick and choose which bookmakers we gamble with.
I probably wouldn’t have found London Bet, but for their currently marketing ploy which is paying Google to appear at the top of the search results.
If you have opened an account and had an experience with London Bet, good or bad, then please leave a review below to help other punters make smart choices. Thanks in advance.
