Olympics Day 8 Free Betting Tips

  • August 5, 2024

What are the odds of this then? So I backed Phillips top Welsh Fire Batsman on Saturday at 12/1. Definitely the wrong price. I wanted to watch the action unfold but waiting until I had finished work.

What would you say are the odds of me switching on my ipad (it’s old and takes ages to load), opening the SkyGo App, choosing The Hundred, seeing Glen Phillips at the crease, watching just a single delivery, which resulted in his dismissal. I mean come on? That has to be a 500/1 shot right?

When I paced the bet I had vision of me watching him build a really strong innings and surpassing the score of all his team mates with my mood getting ever more jubilant as his tally improved. Instead I found myself switching my ipad back off, having only moments early press the on button.

That sums up my luck of late. I appreciate this approach of mine is going to end in frustration 95% of the time, but that just takes the biscuit.

We move on. I nearly got involved with The Hundred again as the Women’s Welsh Fire side are 11/10, despite sitting top of the table and facing basement dwellers Southern Braves.

But instead I’ve opted for the Olympics. My first bet on the games and it’s on KX-1. What the fuck is KX-1 I hear you ask, hopefully a touch more polite than that. It’s Kayaking with a twist.

Joe Clarke is into the men’s kayak final ☝️🀩πŸ”₯

What a run from Joe who qualifies fastest and will go down last in the final at 17:10 πŸ‘

We’ve reached the Quarter Finals of the men’s competition, due to start at 2:52pm, UK time I believe. 4 runners take part in each race, and I guess 2 qualify with semi finals and then the final all concluding this afternoon.

I’ve backed Joseph Clarke on the back of advice of the Betfair betting blog and their tipster Jack Houghton.

Joseph Clarke was Olympic Champion in Rio in 2016 in K1 Class. He’s been dominate in this format winning all 3 World Championships since and the 2023 World Cup.

That was enough for me to get involved and the prospect of watching the action unfold this afternoon to see how my bet gets on.

Dee is offering 11/10. I’ve not shopped around in truth and couldn’t be arsed. Let’s hope Clarke gets me off to a winning streak. Good luck if you’re betting on the cricket or Olympics today. Please gamble responsibly.

Bet: Joseph Clarke to win the KX-1 Olympics – 0.5pts – 2.1
