Punters Diary Day 6 – Keep Your Cool

  • May 20, 2023

I don’t like to use the same image two days running, but as Bryson DeChambeau netted me +20 points of profit yesterday it felt rude not to have his bulging biceps on display.

Thank you Matt Vincenzi and Golf Betting Club who both tipped DeChambeau to be first round leader. Two tipsters I only started following in the past week or so, for that reason my stakes are very low.

If you dive in head first on golf you can lose quite a hefty sum if your luck doesn’t go well over the first few weeks. It’s unlikely you’ll land a big winner like this straight out of the blocks. So be cautious. Some golf tipsters display impressive profit & ROI stats but often that’s due to one 250/1 winner.

That winner has made a huge difference to my overall profit. I’m up to +42pts from 859 bets. My win rate is 31% and my ROI is 9.23%. I’m over the moon with that.

Very small stakes for me but +20pts profit is still huge right now!!!

My advice today is just remain level headed. The past week has been a great example of how quickly gambling can change. From +40pts this time last week to -5pts on Monday morning, back up to +42pts today.

There’s no guarantee I won’t have another shocking weekend, although I have streamlined my lists of tipsters, so that shouldn’t happen.

It’s just important to remain level headed, during both the good times and bad. If you have a few winners, stay calm and don’t raise stakes too quickly.

Also try to remain patient when you are losing. Shit happens. You’ll have losing runs that almost seem unthinkable, but keep the faith and the tide will turn.

Thanks for reading and best of luck with your betting this weekend. If you have any tipsters you’d like to recommend then I would love to track them.
