Plumpton Aldopicgros

Horse racing - Plumpton - 04 Nov 15:00

Aldopicgros is trained by the highly successful Paul Nicholls, who has once again started the national hunt season with the vast majority of his horses looking fit and ready to run a big race. Paul has saddled 7 winners since 22nd October and 7 of his horses have finished in 2nd place. He has a good record when taking horses over to Plumpton.

The selection has already had a race this season and so should strip even fitter than when running on debut in the UK last month. He was beaten that day by two horses with decent profiles and the first three home drew clear of the rest of the field.

This afternoon's race at Plumpton is a step down in class for Aldopicgros and he is racing off the same weight as all his rivals.

Paul Nicholls' horses tend to jump well because of the emphasis he places on schooling at home so Aldopicgros should know his job this afternoon.

Paul is keeping Aldopicgros to 2 miles so the trip shouldn't catch him out. The ground conditions are slighter softer than when running on his UK debut but as things stand at present it still looks to be good jumping ground at Plumpton this afternoon.

Looking through the form of his opposition, it appears as though one of these horses would need to show considerable improvement to beat the selection. The one unknown is Gary Moore's horse but without a run under his belt, he may well strip fitter for today's outing.
