Kempton Much Promise

Horse racing - Kempton - 05 Nov 16:30

Much Promise looks a potentially smart prospect. Although still a maiden, she has been narrowly beaten into 2nd place on two of her three career starts and most recently the horse that took the honours was a good looking Richard Hannon sort. In her second career start, she took on some high class filly's and was only beaten 6 lengths by the winner that day.

Much Promise is trained by John Gosden, whose record speaks for itself and she is ridden again by William Buick who has taken the reigns on all her racecourse outings thus far.

Her breeding looks good. Invincible Spirit (Group 1 winner) Offspring has produced 132 winners (14 stakes winners).

Much Promise appears to get the 6 furlong trip well and Gosden keeps her to this distance this afternoon.

Two of her three starts have been on the all weather surface which she will experience this afternoon again at Kempton Park.

Her main danger appears to be the Richard Hannon trained Miss Brazil, but Much Promise is rated 6 lbs higher than Miss Brazil and races off the same weight today so if the handicapper has estimated correctly, Much Promise should be able to see off Miss Brazil this afternoon.
