| The Phoenix Coyotes were originally founded in 1972 as the Winnipeg Jets. They changed their name and location in 1996. The Coyotes play in the Pacific Division. The team colours are Red, Sand, Black and White. They play their games in the Jobing.com Arena. |

| The Phoenix Coyotes have failed to make the playoffs in the past three seasons. Each time they have qualified for the playoffs they have been eliminated in the Conference Quarter Finals. Most recently in 2002 they were defeated 1 - 4 by the San Jose Sharks. Last season the Coyotes finished 5th in the Pacific Division with 38 wins. |
