| The New Orleans Hornets have currently relocated to Oklahoma for two seasons due to damage caused by Hurricane Katrina. They are set to return in 2007/08. The Hornets were formed in 1988 in Charlotte. It was not until 2002 they moved to New Orleans. They play in the South Western Division. |

| The Hornets play in the New Orleans Arena which has a capacity of 18,000. The team colours are Teal, Purple and Gold. The Hornets have failed to reach the playoffs in the past few seasons. Their last appearance came in 2004 when they were beaten in the first round by Miami Heat (3 - 4). |
