HISTORY

The Los Angeles Lakers were founded in 1946. They are one the most successful teams in the NBA winning 14 championships including three in a row (2000 - 02). The Lakers share the Staples Arena with the LA Clippers. They play in the Pacific Division and the team colours are Purple, Gold and White.

RECENT SEASONS

The Los Angeles Lakers missed out on the playoffs in the 2004 - 05 season. It was just the 4th time in their history that they had failed to reach the playoffs. Last season was also a disappointment for Lakers as they were beaten 1 - 4 by the Phoenix Suns in the first round of the playoffs.
