| The Atlanta Thrashers were formed in 1997 and replaced the Flames that moved to Calgary in 1980. They play in the South East Division. The Thrashers play their home games at the Philips Arena which has a capacity of 18,750. The team colour's are Blue, Bronze, Gold and White. |

| The Atlanta Thrashers had their best season ever in 2006-07. They won the South East Division title thanks to 43 victories. However they were unable to make an impact in the playoffs losing 0 - 4 to the New York Rangers. It was the first time the Thrashers had made the playoffs. |
