The San Jose tennis tournament is currently called the SAP Open. It takes place in February at the HP Pavilion, San Jose, California, USA. It is the second oldest men's professional tennis tournament in the USA. It was first played way back in 1889.

The event is played on hard courts and has a field of 32 players. The current champion is Andy Roddick who also won the title in 2004 and 2005. Andy Murray has also had success in San Jose winning the tournament two years running in 2006 and 2007.
