The Miami Masters is currently called the Nasdaq-100 Open due to its sponsors. It is also referred to as Key Biscayne by members of the tennis media. The event lasts for 12 days and has 96 players. It takes place in late March as is considered as being the 5th biggest tournament.
In 2006 players were allowed to challenge line calls for the first time in the US. The current champion is Nikolay Davydenko who played superbly in both the semi finals and final defeating Andy Roddick and Rafael Nadal without dropping a set. |
