The Indian Wells Masters takes place in the small city of Indian Wells which is in California, 115 miles east of Los Angeles. It is part of the Tennis Masters series on the ATP Tour and takes place on hard courts in the month of March each year.

The Indian Wells Tennis Gardens is the host of the event. It was built in 2000 and boasts 20 courts including a main stadium with a 16,100 capacity. It is one of the few events of the year where the main draw is played beyond a week.
