Houston is the current host to The US Men's Clay Court Championship. It is the last remaining clay court tournament in the USA. It has been staged in Houston since 2001 and now takes place at the River Oaks Tennis Club. There are 32 players in the main draw.

Many of the leading clay court players from South America and Europe tend to miss this event. Andy Roddick has taken full advantage of this fact winning the title three times. The current champion is Marcel Granollers Puyol who caused a big shock beating James Blake in the final.
