The Qatar Open is one of the first events to take place on the ATP each season. It takes place in Doha, Qatar. The tournament is played on Hard courts and is staged several weeks before the first Grand Slam, the Australian Open.

It has been used by some of the leading players as a warm up to the Australian Open. There are 32 players in the main draw and the current champion is Andy Murray who made up for the disappointment of losing in the final a year earlier.
