The Cincinnati Masters is the oldest tournament in the US to still be held in its original city. It is staged in the Cincinnati suburb of Mason, Ohio. The tournament is played on hard courts and takes place in either July or August. It is one of nine masters series events on the ATP Tour.
In 2007 Roger Federer regained the title he won two years earlier. He had some really close matches losing a set to Nicolas Almagro in the Quarter Finals. In the Semi Finals he narrowly defeated Lleyton Hewitt 6-3 6-7 7-6. The final was more comfortable for Federer as he defeated James Blake 6-1 6-4. |
