The tournament in Bastad has just changed sponsors so is now known as the Catella Swedish Open. It is held at the Bastad Tennis Stadium. The tournament is staged in the second week of July and there are 32 players in the draw competing on clay courts.

The Catella Swedish Open is the 4th oldest tournament in the world and is over 50 years old. The current champion is David Ferrer who lost just seven games from the Quarter Finals onwards including a 6 - 1, 6 - 2 win over Nicolas Almagro in the final.
