The Acapulco tennis tournament is officially called the Abierto Mexicano Telcel. It takes places in February in Acapulco, Mexico. The matches are played on clay courts and the large prize fund has attracted the world's leading clay court players in the past few years.

There are 32 players in the main draw. In recent years the tournament has been won by Carlos Moya on two occasions and by fellow Spaniard and clay court expert Rafael Nadal. The defending champion is Nicolas Almagro who defeated David Nalbandian in the final.
