Mischa Zverev was born on August 22nd, 1987 in Moscow, Russia but now represents Germany. In February 2008 he reached his highest ranking position to date when he made it to number 73. He had also been a very successful junior player reaching number 3 in the rankings.

In 2006 Zverev reached his first Quarter Final on the ATP Tour thanks to victories over Juan Carlos Ferrero and Rainer Schuettler. The following season he won 3 times on the Challenger Circuit. In 2008 he defeated Philipp Kohlschreiber and David Ferrer to reach the last 8 in Rotterdam.
