Paradorn Srichaphan was born on June 14th, 1979 in Bangkok, Thailand. He turned pro in 1997 and has won five titles on the ATP Tour. He struggled in his first few seasons as a professional and was lowly ranked. His breakthrough came in 2002 when he won two tournaments.
It was in the same year he caused an upset at Wimbledon by knocking out Andre Agassi. The following year he again won twice defending his title in Long Island and winning in Chennai. He has finished runner up in Chennai on three separate occasions. His best finish in a grand slam is the 4th round. |
