Vincent Spadea was born on July, 1974 in Chicago, USA. He turned pro in 1993 and has won once on the ATP Tour. He reached his first ATP final in 1998 and has since finished as a runner up on three other occasions. His only win came in Scottsdale in 2004.
Spadea suffered the longest losing streak in the history of pro tennis. He lost 21 matches in a row before eventually beating Greg Rusedski at Wimbledon. He bounced back and had his best season in 2004 winning 40 matches and reaching 18th in the world. He has since slipped back down the rankings. |
