Feliciano Lopez was born on September 20th, 1981 in Toledo, Spain. He turned pro in 1997 and has won one title on the ATP tour. Lopez began playing tennis at the age of 5 and was a very good junior player. He has an excellent record at Wimbledon in recent years.

In 2002 he got into the top 100 of the rankings for the first time in his career. This was helped by a 4th round showing at Wimbledon. The following year he reached the same stage at the All England Club. In 2005 he had his best Grand Slam performance when he reached the Quarter finals of Wimbledon.
