Luis Horna was born on September 14th, 1980 in Lima, Peru. He turned pro in 1998 and has won twice on the ATP Tour. He was an outstanding junior player and reached the final of the junior French Open in 1997. His favourite service is clay and he has a powerful forehand.
Horna's breakthrough year came in 2003 when he made his debut in all four of the Grand Slams. He even beat Roger Federer in the first round at Roland Garros. In 2006 he won his first tournament on the ATP Tour in Acapulco. He made it win number two in 2007 landing the title in Vina del Mar. |
