Chris Guccione was born on July 30th, 1985 in Victoria, Australia. He turned pro in 2003 and has won four Challenger Titles. He has a very powerful serve and once served 50 aces in a Wimbledon qualifier. In 2007 he reached the final of an ATP Tour event in Adelaide.

Guccione beat 5 players from the top 100 before losing to Novak Djokovic in the final. In 2008 he reached another final in Sydney. He recorded some excellent wins en route beating the likes of Lleyton Hewitt, Tomas Berdych and Radek Stepanek before losing to Dmitry Tursunov in the final.
