Sebastien Grosjean was born on May 29th, 1978 in Marseille, France. He turned pro in 1996 and has won four ATP titles. His biggest win came in 2001 when he won the Paris Masters in front of his home crowd. This made him the number one ranked Frenchman.

Grosjean has reached the semi-finals of a grand slam four times including twice at Wimbledon, 2003, 2004. He was also runner up at Queens Club both years. His best chance of reaching a grand slam final came at the Australian Open in 2001 when he blew a two sets to love lead.
