Mardy Fish was born on December 9th, 1981 in Minnesota, USA. He turned pro in 2000 and has won two titles on the ATP Tour. Fish has also finished runner-up on six separate occasions including at the Athens Olympics winning him a silver medal.
He spent his first few seasons as a pro on the Challenger and Futures circuits. In 2003 he won his first event in Stockholm. Then in 2005 he needed two operations on his wrist which meant he was only able to play 17 matches. A year later he was awarded a wildcard into Houston and won the event. |
