Daniele Bracciali was born on January 10th, 1978 in Arezzo, Italy. He turned pro in 1995 and has won once on the ATP Tour. He began playing at the age of seven and at just 17 he made his debut on the ATP Tour in St.Poelten. Between 20 - 24 he suffered from groin injuries.

In 2005 he reached the top 100 of the rankings for the first time. He has made an impact at Wimbledon twice reaching the third round in 1998 and 2006. A year earlier he won a famous match versus Ivo Karlovic. Despite a record 51 aces from the Croat, Bracciali won the match 12 - 10 in the final set.
