Nicolas Almagro was born on August 1985, in Murcia, Spain. He turned pro in 2003 and has won twice on the ATP Tour. Almagro is renowned for his talent and flair. He can produce some excellent tennis but is generally very inconsistent on the tour.
He was highly ranked as a junior player and prefers playing on clay. In 2005 he played in three out four of the grand slams but failed to get beyond round two. His big break came in 2006 when he won his first ATP Tour event in Valencia. He qualified for the tournament and won 8 matches to claim victory. |
