Due to their links with Sky TV and in particular Sky Sports, Skybet has quickly become one of the most popular online bookmakers for UK punters. £20 free bet for new players.

BK Rating:

The history of Skybet dates back to 2002 when Surrey Sports were rebranded. In 2006 their online presence grew with the acquisition of Ukbetting and totalbet.

Skybet was sold by Sky to CVC Capital Partners in March 2015 in a deal worth £800 million. Sky kept 20% of the company and the brand will remain the same.

New customers can get a £20 free bet by SIGNING UP and placing a first bet of £5 or more at odds of Evens or greater. They run a Free Bet Club where existing customers can claim a £5 free bet every week.

The Super 6 game which ties in with Gillette Soccer Saturday has proved a huge hit. It's free to play and there is a £250,000 jackpot each week for anyone who is lucky enough to predict 6 correct scores.

Jamie Redknapp is the face of the football betting section and you will often find his tips and predictions published on the site.

Whilst they have a wide range of markets on all major sports they don't tend to offer the best odds as often as some of their competitors.

Betting with a brand as big as Sky you know your money and bets are safe. If you are casual punter looking for just one account to bet with SkyBet is probably the best choice.

If you are a casual punter then fine for your weekly accumulators but for anyone who wants to take there gambling seriously and bet bigger stakes then don't bother. There are much better bookmakers like bet365 around.
