| The speed at which a player acts can be a giveaway to their hand. Generally a quick play is a sign of weakness. However if a player takes a long time to act it is likely they are considering their options and contemplating how much to raise the pot by. You can control your own speed and take the same time for each play, giving nothing away to your opponents. |

When you play online poker there are boxes that you can tick to automatically fold, raise any or call any. It is used to speed up play and allow players to act before it is their turn. You can tell when a player has used an auto play as their reaction happens instantly with no delay. It can be a crucial giveaway to the strength of their hand.
If they raise it is likely they have a strong hand. An instant check would represent a weak hand where as a call would suggest a drawing hand that is not yet complete. This is obviously not always accurate but is worth paying attention to. |

All poker rooms allow players at a table to chat. It can sometimes be helpful in giving a clue to what type of hand your opponent has. If a player that has been chatting a lot suddenly become quiet it is an indication they are concentrating because they have good cards.
It is also worth looking out for players who get aggressive and frustrated in their chat as it is likely they maybe on tilt and may play weak hands loosley giving you a better chance of winning their chips. |

| This is a way of gaining and immediate impression of a player. When you first sit down at a table you are given the option of waiting for the big blind. Players that don't have the patience to wait are more likely to be loose players who play weak cards. On the flip side a player who does wait can be seen as a potential danger. |
