BLUFFING

Welcome to our page on bluffing in poker. Bluffing is a massive part of online poker. If you bluff well it can give you a massive edge over other players on the table. However if you are poor at bluffing it is likely to cost you a lot of your chip stack and ultimately a lot of money. The art of bluffing takes a lot of time and practice to master.

BLUFFING DON'TS

Don't Bluff on a loose table

Don't bluff on low level tables

Don't bluff weak players

Don't bluff players that have large chip stacks

Don't bluff lots of players at once

Don't bluff from an early table position

SEMI BLUFFING

Semi Bluffing is when you have not hit a hand but have a draw hand. For instance you may need one more card to hit a flush. Many people regard this as not being a real bluff. There are added benefits to a semi bluff as if you do get called then you still have the chance of hitting your hand.

SLOW PLAYING

Slow playing is a way of deceiving your opponents into thinking you have a weak hand when in fact you have the nuts. This is a very useful tactic especially on the low level tables where opponents are only concentrating on their own hands. You should only slow play however if the following apply.

You have the nuts and there is almost no chance someone can beat you

You will only get action if there are cards that can improve your opponents hand but not by enough to beat yours
