| If you let players call cheaply then it gives them an added opportunity to get lucky and hit a card on the turn or river that will beat you. Again keep an eye on your stats, you should notice that after fold, your most frequent action is a raise. |

You should join a table where the minimum bet is 100 times less than your bank roll. So for instance if you start with $50 do not play a table where the blinds are higher than $0.50 - $1. One of the reasons for this is that if you get a good hand you want enough chips to maximise your winnings.
Keep track of your bankroll everytime you play. That way can you can see how successful you have been. Then if you are losing you know you need to improve your play and strategy further. |

When playing online poker it is important to get to know your opponents. All of the poker rooms allow you to make notes on other players. Make the most of this option as it will give you an edge.
Rather than listing huge amounts of confusing notes about players it is advisable to put each opponent in a category depending on their play. |

| You can mark players that play lots of hands and are very loose as a 'fish'. Opponents that only play big hands can be categorized as 'sharks'. Then there are players that call a lot of hands without really raising, these can be categorized as 'Dolphins'. It is entirely up to you how you categorize players but it allows you to target weak players at a table. |
