The Sussex Stakes is a Group 1 flat horse race contested by three year old and above thoroughbreds. The 2007 winner was Ramonti. It takes place at Goodwood Racecourse during the Glorious Goodwood festival in late July or early August. It is the highest quality race of the whole meeting. The race is over 1 mile and was first held in the year 1841.
