The Cheltenham Gold Cup is a National Hunt Horse Race. It is raced by horses that are 5 years old or above over a distance of 3 miles and 2.5 furlongs. There are 22 jumps for the horses to overcome. It is staged at the Cheltenham Festival in march and was first run back in 1924. It is regarded as being the biggest chase race in the UK.
