| The 2,000 Guineas is a Group 1 thoroughbred flat horse race. It is run over a 1 mile and takes place at Newmarket on the Rowley Mile Course. It is one of five classic races and is staged for three year old colts and fillies. In 2007 the race was won by Cockney Rebel. The race was first run way back in 1809 and is named after the original prize fund. |
