The US Masters is one of the four major golf tournament held each year. The tournament takes place at Augusta National Golf Course in Georgia, USA. It takes place in the month of April and is aired live on television each year. Augusta is renowned for its fast greens and is a real test for the worlds best.

Betting on the US Masters is very popular as all the World's leading players are battling it out to win the title. The tournament is an invitational event and there are normally less than 100 players taking part. Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods have both won the tournament in recent years.

In 2008 Trevor Immelman landed his first major victory leading the tournament throughout. He went into the final round on -11 par and a round of 75 was still good enough for a three shot victory. Tiger Woods did threaten but for a change his putter let him down on the back nine.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

TIGER WOODS
Pld
14 Tiger Woods blew the field away in 1997 winning the event by a record 12 shots despite opening with a front 9 of 40 on Thursday. It was predicted then that he would dominate the event for years to come. Since that amazing win he has won the event three more times in 2005, 2002 and 2001. Tiger has never missed the cut as a professional and his worst finish in that spell was T22 in 2004.

RETIEF GOOSEN
Pld
10 Retief Goosen took a while to become familiar with Augusta missing the cut twice on his first three appearances. Since then he has been one of the most consistent performers. He finished runner up in 2002 and recorded three each way finishes in a row between 2005 - 2007. In 2007 Goosen only just made the cut shooting 8 over for the first two rounds. However he shot 5 under over the weekend to finish T2.
